Cleveland

The past two years have been a living nightmare.  It all started with my upside down stomach and continued with multiple surgeries, infections and complications.  The roux en y procedure to fix my stomach resulted in a hole in my colon.  From there I had another major surgery to fix this which included a colostomy and months of TPN (IV nutrition).  The third major surgery reversed the colostomy but resulted in the formation of not only a portal vein blood clot but the abscess that I am still fighting.  Then the hole in my stomach formed.  I don't even know how many endoscopic procedures and clips and glue and stitches I have had in order to fix it...all failed.   For a year I was in the hospital every month for at least a week for some weird thing that my body was doing.  My local team of doctors and surgeons are AMAZING,  but they have run out of options to help me.  After several failed attempts to fix it, I am headed to Cleveland to see an endoscopic surgeon who specializes in complications from surgery such as mine.  The hope is that a minimally invasive procedure will close the hole for good!  I will be making the trip to have the procedure September 25th.  The trip to Cleveland will be tough not only physically and mentally but financially as well.  The cost of travel and lodging will not be easy to manage.  This is why I am asking for your help.  If you know me, you know how hard it is for me to ask for help.  But here I am, doing just that.  Anything you are willing to donate so that I can obtain the treatment I desperately need would be most appreciated!  Throughout this entire ordeal my friends and family have been SO AMAZING and I can't thank you all enough for sticking by my side and encouraging me, especially on my darkest days.   I just want to wake up and not be in pain one day.  Seems like such a simple thing but it is something I have been dreaming of for two years now.  I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me on this journey.
