Home Lost Forever

My name is Codey Lamb... here is my story.I live with my mother Tamara and my step-dad George in Longs, SC. I have lived in the same house since I was born in 1994 and have never seen my home flood. Hurricane Florence’s brutal force caused our home to have almost 2 feet of water throughout the house. We evacuated not knowing the devastating image of everything we own being lost forever. Yes, we were in a flood zone; however, we could never afford flood insurance. A PBS camera crew located us when we first reached our home and took this picture of me carrying my belongings to safety. We didn’t have much but I don’t want to lose everything. We never ask for assistance but I am driven to see my home restored. We would surely appreciate any help. I will use the funds to help rebuild my home. We have to replace the flooring, the air conditioning and more. I, Codey Lamb am the campaign coordinator and the recipient/ beneficiary of the funds.
