Benjamin is a kind, smart, generous 3 year old boy.
He was premature, and has had a tough start in his little life.
On August 29th Benjamin had brain surgery to ease complications from his Chiari Malformation. Bone had to be removed from the base of his skull and vertebrae removed from his neck, and the protective layer of his brain had to be opened. A patch was placed to create space for the tonsils of his brain.
It was a long and painful surgery, Benjamin spent time admitted to Hopkins children's hospital.
This remarkable little boy is taking everything in stride and jumping the hurdles of recovery.
Both of Benjamin's parents work full time, mom works from home so she can provide his daily care. Benjamin has required extensive medical treatment for his Chiari malformation including regular MRI's and many specialist visits and tests.
