Medical Expenses

On Thursday, September 20th, my husband Stacie went in for a routine upper GI scope of his stomach. During the procedure something went horribly wrong. Stacie's vocal cords and throat completely closed and he stopped breathing. The doctors and nurses couldn't bag him and they ended up having to put a tracheostomy in place. Stacie is currently on a ventilator that is doing most of the work for him. The doctors aren't planning on taking him off the ventilator because his oxygen level isn't completely stable and his lungs still have fluid in them. He has aspiration pneumonia in both lungs and a staph infection. He is on 2 different antibiotics, a lasik, and 3 different sedatives to keep him asleep. He is a fighter and keeps fighting the sedatives to wake up. However, when he does wake up, his oxygen level completely drops and that isn't what we want. We don't have a time frame in which he will get to come home. It will all depend on how Stacie and how he starts responding to the medicines. I am asking for assistance to help cover any medical bills we may incur from all of this as well as to help with our bills at home as I am not able to work while he is in the hospital. Any help is appreciated, even if it is a sharing of this post. Thank you
