Charlie Bear Needs Our Help

When I started my animal rescue I knew that it wasn’t about making a quick buck or moving animals in and out as quick as possible. I knew that there were some that would take time and some that would stay with me because they were “unadoptable”. But I also kept in mind that the ones that were lucky enough to find a forever home were ultimately still my responsibility. Until the day those precious animals leave this earth, I need to know that they are safe and healthy and loved.
Charlie was adopted last December by an amazing family. The son had recently lost his cat and the mom saw Charlie on Facebook. Charlie reminded her of her sons cat. So she went ahead and adopted Charlie bear. Her grown son cried tears of joy when they first met. Mom contacted me yesterday to let me know that Charlie was having seizures and she was taking him to the vet this morning. The vet did confirm with blood work and X-rays that Charlie has congenital heart failure and they need to remove fluid from his lungs and stay there on oxygen in the meantime until they figure out the next step.
