Prayers For Prostate Cancer

Donation protected
My younger brother Robert Wendorf recently was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in which it had to be removed. He is 47 and lives in Salt Lake City while the rest of our family lives all over the US. What makes this difficult for me as his brother is that I learned they use a Gleason scale or score to determine how aggressive the cancer is. With 10 the highest number or aggressiveness, my brothers is a 9. After surgery, biopsy’s revealed the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and bone. Hormone therapy and chemo are the next steps. To add to the stress he received the news right after he was let go from his job working for the school district and now currently in the middle of an EEOC claim that was accepted by the state which could take months/years to sort out. He currently is using what’s left from his former job / 401k to pay for COBRA to have some medical benefits for now but could eventually lose medical and his home with no income coming in. He is selling off anything to help pay for his expensive chemo pills, and make his $425 a month COBRA payment. The amount I am hoping to raise is for his cobra payments for one year and possibly longer. This has already been accomplished after a week of the campaign. The next goal is to help him make his house payment for at least six months. Since I live in Kansas, I am trying to help in the best way a brother can. I am asking for prayers and support in anyway. As his brother I am learning more about prostate cancer and would encourage all males not to wait until they turn 50 but 40 to get a PSA BLOOD TEST. My brother never imagined this at 47 and during the only time in his life “ unemployed” not by choice. Thank you for taking the time to read and help in anyway even if it is a prayer for Robert Wendorf, father of Rob Jr. in New York and daughter Brianna in Salt Lake City who need their dad, my brother, around a little longer. This includes his girlfriend Rain who is doing her best to be by his side every step of the way. We are thankful she can take care of him at this time.
