It is with a heavy heart, that we ask our friends, family, and neighbors for help, prayers, and support at this time. With the saddening news of young Giovanni's health. The family finds its self in a great deal of emotional, stressful, as well as a financial difficulty. Giovanni's mother Nicole Papa, daughter of of James Papa, an Kimberly Hunnell. Is in need to deal with the tragedy that has happened upon this young family. On Wednesday Sept 12th, 2018 @ 9:35am while @ work for a local family as a nanny. Nicole recieved a call from her neighbor, that one of her twins (Giovanni) was not breathing & he has been given Giovanni cpr. Both Giovanni & his twin sister Leilani were at home in the care of thier father at the time that this occurred. After 30 to 40 mins the ambulance medics finally got a pulse. Gio was transported to Salem hospital, then eventually Med-Flighted to Mass General Hospital in Boston. Gio has been in the PICU here since in a coma. After several tests have been performed. The doctors have reported that the lack of oxygen to the brain that Gio may never walk, talk, or do anything on his own again. Both of his lungs had collapsed, an as the father tried to administer cpr to his son he was doing it wrong an thus caused more damage. Nicoles neighbor Tanya Richard is a registered nurse whom is certified in cpr. After a severe amount of time going back an forth with the father that he was doing it wrong Tanya took Gio from his arms & started doing cpr herself. Giovanni is just a days from turning 1. This little blue eyed, curly haired, happy boy, that would have you smiling, just from his beautiful ear to ear smile. Life is unfair as we know. We ask for whatever help you can give to try an make this whole ordeal a little less stressful on the family. Please share everyone!!!
