Kathy's emergency fund

I am embarrassed to have to use this venue because all of my life I have been self sufficient. I was a single mother at the age of 19 and I believe I did a wonderful job. My son and his family reside in California . He is gainfully employed and received an MBA from UCLA. Due to the high cost of living in California, he is not able to help me as much as he would like.

Very recently I have fallen on seriously hard times. In October, my boyfriend and I moved into my current residence to share expenses. However, he soon showed his true colors and moved in with another woman and left me to fend for myself.

He then moved one of his friends into the apartment and the real trouble began. He was a horrendous roommate and shorted me money continually. The final straw was when he moved a woman in and refused to take care of her expenses. Finally after a month of this I was able to get them out. When they left they took a lot of my possessions and food. I am currently in a position where I cannot pay my rent and utilities and food. I expect this to last a month or two at most. I am sincerely asking for your assistance, prayers and support. Thank you for reading.
