Sue Kampf
Im a single mom of three beautiful children, Eric, Billy and Saree. I currently work at Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer. While at work a couple of months ago I felt bad enough to be sent home. I thought it was from a previous condition called a pseudo tumor cerebri reason I was feeling bad. I was scheduled for a lumbar puncture the neurologist hadn’t gotten back with me about when. We went through the lumbar puncture, then I had to have a blood patch but I kept a headache. I tried to return back to work a couple of days but my head was hurting so bad I had to stop going in. Several ER visits, MRI’s and cat scans later I was told by my new neurologist that I have fibrous dysplaysia. She wanted to run another CT scan and follow up with the results. I thought she would be discussing what fibrous dysplaysia was and what we were going to do. Instead, she told me I have a mass at the base of my skull. I needed to go to MD Anderson. My first appointment is Wednesday. Somewhere I never thought I would be going. Family and friends reading this I need your prayers, and words of comfort. Whatever else you think might cheer this ole gal up! Just know I’m staying strong and love you all!
