Help Us Get To Wizard World NOLA

Greetings and Love! So, Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans is less than four months away; January 4-6, 2019 to be exact. We are Lousiana Artists and plan to use this event as a pre-release of my Afro-Fantasy comic book, "Sankofa's Eymbrace" being that this Wizard World will be in New Orleans.

By "We" I mean the "Sankofa's Eymbrace Team" which consists of only me and my very supportive Wife-Queen. With potentially introducing the first issue of Sankofa's Eymbrace at Wizard World NOLA, we just want to make sure we represent it well. 

I'll be totally honest; I wanted to do all of this on my own and save the crowdfunding campaign for the comic book itself. A KickStarter campaign will still be created, however due to the short amount of time between now and the deadline for securing our tables, I saw an emergency need to create a GoFundMe to help pay for (or completely take care of) representation at Wizard World Comic Con NOLA.

While I'm being totally honest, please allow me to share why a GoFundMe is needed and why it must be successful.  Months ago I took the leap of faith and switched from a full-time position to a part-time position at the "day job" so that I could devote more attention to my Art career and most importantly to have time to finish the first issue of Sankofa's Eymbrace. 

So far that leap of faith has been a rollercoaster ride. My finances have been cut by half and any income I receive from my part-time job AND Art-Commissions have gone toward home and utility bills. As the date of the event draws closer it is becoming increasingly financially difficult to secure the proper booth and also have enough time to purchase the proper promotional display items to represent Sankofa's Eymbrace to the best of Our abilities. 

With that being explained, this where We need Your help. I know and definitely understand that finances are difficult for many right now. For those who are able I am humbly asking for any donation to help us in securing Our booth and promotional materials. 

I am also asking this at the risk of potentially cancelling out financial support for a future kickstarter for Sankofa's Eymbrace itself. Again I am humbly asking for any donation so that We can get Our booth and promotional materials out of the way. With those secured, I can devote more mental and physical energy and focus into completing "Sankofa's Eymbrace" before the end of this year. 

We don't want anyone donating blindly so here is what You will be donating towards: 1. Corner booth: $420.00

2. Lodging: approx $500.00

3. Two vertical retractable vinyal banners: Approx $220.00 (total).

4. Electrical usage: $100.00

5. Table top book display case for the comic book. Approx $30.00

This would be a total of $1270. If Our goal is surpassed, the remaining funds will be used to purchase other materials and go toward the completion of Sankofa's Eymbrace.
