Alliyah's Brace/Travel Expenses/Tanks

My name is Mandy, and my daughter Alliyah has been diagnosed with scoliosis. After the initial diagnosis 9 months ago, she has developed a second curve in her back. Her doctor is now suggesting a back brace to be worn 23 hours a day to try to prevent the curves from progressing. This will be a 3 year long endeavor, and since she is still growing, she will have to use more than one brace during this time. But, as a mother, and father, we want to try to avoid surgery at all costs. However, her insurance will cover nothing with the diagnosis of scoliosis. We are currently trying to look into other options, however none of these options will pay the full amount needed. These braces are special made, and will cost anywhere between $5,000 and $10,000. We live 3 hours away from the closest spinal surgeon, and will be traveling there every 3 months. My husband works full time, and I am a homemaker that cleans a house, and our church from time to time to make extra money. But our finances just are not capable of paying for the brace and the travel expenses. She is also in need of special tank tops that will need to be worn under the brace. The costs are just adding up tremendously. We are already paying for orthodontia. I know that many people say that I could just go back to work, but we also have a smaller child that would attend daycare, and with the cost of daycare, and the cost of gas to get me to work, the income still would not be enough. And we would for sure not qualify for any assistance at that point. We know that this is in God's hands, but we would appreciate any help that you could give to our little family.
