Medical Mission in Guatemala

As many of you know, I have been accepted to participate in a very exciting opportunity in Guatemala in March and am requesting your help. Your donation will help offset travel costs as well as medical supplies that we carry in trunks to the remote village of Rue in Guatemala.

The organizer of this trip, Faith In Practice, is an 18 year old non-profit corporation from Houston, Texas. Faith In Practice understands that as a people of God, we are called to demonstrate the love and compassion that is an outward sign of God's presence among us. Extremely efficient and well run, it has grown into an organization with more than 1000 volunteers annually. In 2010, 1000 Faith in Practice volunteers performed 1,300 surgeries, treated over 12,000 people in the rural villages in Guatemala, and served more than 3,500 dental patients during 32 trips. The work provides immediate relief to Guatemalans "“ relieving their pain, restoring their health and returning them to their vocation.
