Friend in Need

My friend Jill and her husband Brent are two of the kindest people and best parents I know.  Jill is in her 30’s and just learned she has a 3 cm tumor in her breast, requiring a double mastectomy and very likely chemotherapy.   Despite being two of the absolute hardest working people I know, they are in jobs that have no flexibility, they will not be paid for any leave, and they are under a tremendous financial burden right now.  Having been through this exact situation with my mom, who has every resource in the world, I cannot fathom what it would be like to go through the same thing at my age, and with the struggles so many people face, including the Harper’s.  They have two kids, and everything in life is stacked against them right now.  And, they are far too proud to know about this effort.  I know everyone receiving this already gives so much money to help our community, so I would not ask if this was not so important.  But, if each of you could give just a little, it would change this family’s life.  Xo, Denise
