Help Lorrie Get Back on Her Feet!
Almost a year ago, Lorrie Eignus experienced a catastrophic medical emergency. She had multiple spontaneous perforations of the small intestines and was given a 3% chance to survive. But, as some of you know, Lorrie is a fighter and a fervent believer in God. After being rushed to the hospital, she endured emergency surgery followed by six additional surgeries. Unfortunately, she has been in various hospitals ever sense working to regain her independence while healing. Now, after eight months in hospitals, she is at home. However, she is unable to work as she continues to heal, dealing with various complications and the inability to get around.
Recovery has been a long road for Lorrie. And, the journey is not over. She needs continued care and physical therapy. She will also need a repair surgery at a later time. All of this comes with a cost. Fighting to regain her health, she has been unable to work and has no income. Not only does she have many medical bills, she also needs her monthly living expenses (rent, utilities, food, insurance, phone, etc.) for the next several months. She has been dependent upon the help of a few friends.
We’re asking you to help Lorrie get back on her feet. (Her goal is to eventually return to the work she loves as a Homebound teacher.) Any gift would be appreciated. Monthly repeat gifts would be appreciated and so gratefully received.
Lorrie has been a blessing in so many ways through relationships at school, church and personal friendships. Many of you have been touched by her caring and compassion. Thank you all for coming together and being a part of the Love Lorrie Team.
