Carpo’s Army Against Cancer

Darryn Carpenter, Carpo, a father of 4 & grandfather of 9 soon to 10 kids is about to face round 2 of his battle with cancer. This journey started in March this year when he was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer and lung lesions. First operation resulted in major blood clots occurring throughout his body. Obviously this resulted in a much long hospital stay prolonging the time it then took for his treatment to start. After 10 days in hospital fighting, Carpo was released home to recover. Having worked the last 20 years at St Vincent’s Hospital as a security guard and wardy he was forced to take the past 4 1/2 months off work. Least to say this has had a heavy hit on his entitlements. The latest specialist appointment now sees him looking at having a minimum of another 3 surgeries. Facing another long stint off work means we are trying to appeal for help in raising funds for him to keep food on the table, roof over their heads and bills paid. Ongoing medical costs are also racking up. Any donations are more than appreciated.
