Its unimaginable to have to share that our good friend and colleague, Jamilah Simmons, lost her beloved husband Damian in a tragic accident on Sunday, May 3rd.
For those of you fortunate enough to know Jamilah, you know that she is a beautiful soul, a dedicated and inspiring friend, and a devoted and loving mother to three incredible young children – Zawadi (12), Selah (9), and Garvey (7).
Our hearts break for her right now. This loss, already so unthinkably painful, is exacerbated by the circumstances we are currently living in. Our instincts are to want to run and help, and yet we can’t. Not physically.
