My name is Robyn Rogers. I am a dear friend of Nicholas Currie. I have never done this before, and to be honest have actually talked down Go Fund Me in the past, but today I feel a need to ask a favor, which I personally have never done before.
For those that don't know, this is going to come as a huge shock, and I am so sorry you are about to find out this way, but I really do not know how else to say this. 6 months ago Nick was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, at that time Nick was given 6 months to live, but as we all know Nick is a fighter, for those that really know him, that is an understatement. He has always been a super strong man that would NEVER ask for help. This is a trait that I love about Nick. He's always done everything on his own, has never asked anyone for anything his entire life, and has always been there for everyone he knows. The time has come where he does need help, a lot of help. He wasn't thrilled by me doing this, and at first put up a fight, but reluctantly gave me his blessing. That's how I know how bad it is.
If you all know Nick at all, you would know his modesty towards himself, and how proud of a man he is, and know he would never ask for himself. You would also know that he would drop everything to help any one of his friends or family, or even a complete stranger, which he has done many times before. Today I'm asking, as his friend to help our dear friend Nick in his time of need. The last thing Nick needs right now is to worry about how he will pay his bills, stay in his home, food, or his utilities. Unfotunately, Nick had been out out work before all of this happened and now he is too sick to work. All monies will go directly to his account to help him. Anything will help, including all of your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from Nicks.
