As the spread of COVID-19 continues to affect all aspects of life here in New York City, it has hit the restaurant industry particularly hard, necessitating the closing of our doors until further notice. We here at Spiegel have been working together to support one another in this time of need, but we are in over our heads just a bit. With no guaranteed return date and the fact that this pandemic may last for months, we are reaching out to you; our lovely patrons, our regulars, our extended family.
We know times are tough for everyone, so we aren't expecting too much. Even an opportunity to connect with our community is so meaningful. If you do have some money to spare, please consider donating to this fund. We will evenly divide all money raised here between our staff members (bartenders, servers, porters, bussers, cooks, and prep cooks) We won't forget your kindness either. We can't wait until we reopen our doors, but until then, we hope you can still support us in these trying times.
