Whitney Williams for Miss Teen USA 2014

Donation protected

Hello,

My name is Whitney Williams, Miss Alaska Teen 2014!

I am so eager to serve and represent Alaska! Over the past few years, I have given an enormous amount of time to junior tennis and volunteering with the Special Olympics through the sport of tennis. Currently, I am on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Tennis Association and have been active in growing tennis in the state as physical activity is a very important part of being healthy.

As a nationally ranked tennis player since the age of 9, I've been able to travel and meet people all over the United States. Throughout my travels and competing, I believe I've been able to make a positive difference and be a role model in people's lives. As a senior in high school, I was voted Most Valuable Player of my tennis team for four years and team captain as a Sophomore, Junior and Senior. I believe my teammates were able to count on me for guidance, encouragement and instruction to be the best they could be. Because of my accomplishments and hard work, I have been awarded a full athletic scholarship to Abilene Christian University to play tennis and will begin in the Fall of 2014.

As I embark on this endeavor as Miss Alaska Teen USA 2014, I embrace the opportunity to serve as a positive role model and community leader through the charitable alliance, Girl Talk. Girl Talk is an international non-profit peer-to-peer mentoring middle school girls to help them deal with the issues they face during their formative early teenage years building self-esteem, developing leadership skills and recognizing the value of community service.

I am also preparing to represent Alaska at the national MISS TEEN USA® Pageant. I believe that a healthy mind and body is beauty. If chosen MISS TEEN USA®, I will have the opportunity on a national level to be an advocate and educate younger girls on how to live a healthy life, be confident in who they are, and discuss challenges so that they are empowered to live a successful life!

I would be honored by your financial support or donations and your cheering voices as I prepare to compete in the MISS TEEN USA® Pageant. I wish to express my deepest gratitude and truly appreciate your generosity and kindness. Thank you, in advance, from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,

Whitney Rose Williams, Miss Alaska Teen USA 2014
