Get Karen Home

Hello friends- I am sounding the alarm on behalf of our dear friend, Karen. Over the past few days, Karen has received word from her family in CA that her dad has become very ill. Today the biopsy results revealed multiple cancerous masses on his lungs that are inoperable. He has been wheelchair bound since Thanksgiving and has lost over 60 pounds since Karen last saw him at the beginning of October.

As most of you know, Karen is doing missionary work in North Africa right now and has plans to be on the ground there for at least another year and a half. She lives completely funded by external sources, which calls for a tight budget and not much extra money to book a plane ticket home.

According to the doctors, her dad does not have much time left and Karen needs to get on a plane soon to see her dad again.
I am collecting any donations you would like to give to purchase Karen a ticket back to CA- it will cost close to $1,200 one-way unless we can find something cheaper. Any additional funds will be put towards a return ticket to Africa in the future as she longs to be able to return to the Lord's work there.

Any amount will help right now. Also please do not contact Karen about this right now- she is very overwhelmed with all that's going on and I'd like to keep her from a rush of people contacting her. I can forward any messages on to her if you would like me to. If you know anyone else connected with Karen who would possibly like to help out, please pass this along to them.
