Children's Book Illustrations

I am a high school English teacher and I have written a children's story targeting 7-12 year olds. Because I have no artistic ability, I need funds to pay for a professional illustrator to help me bring the story to life on the page. I am happy to share the story with anyone considering donating so you can determine its worthiness. It is based on a separate short piece I wrote several years ago and it tells the story of a young girl in 1920's Manhattan who is defiant and unwilling to conform to society's (and her parent's) expectations. It is humorous and somewhat poignant in its message.
