My Battle Isn’t Over

This is a very hard and humbling story for me to tell, but it’s my story. I’m a wife, mother of four daughters, and a retired Soldier. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in May 2017, and since that day my life has come to a complete STOP. I don’t want to drag this out so here is the simplified version. I received 6 rounds of Chemo Therapy, and in October of 2017 I had a Mastectomy, where they also removed some Lymph Nodes. In January 2018, I received 6 weeks of radiation. In March 2018, I continued with my rounds of Chemo Therapy. I was trusting and believing that it was all working. However, June 2018 I had a pain in my shoulder that was moving down to my side so my Oncologist sent me to get an ultra sound. A few days later I had a PET scan and I was told that the Cancer was back. This day was very hard for me and my family. I didn’t give up; I continued to pray and fight this battle. I moved to a new clinic and started more Chemo Therapy. Last week I was told that it’s not working and they want to try another drug. This Cancer is very aggressive. Therefore, I have to send up a lot of prayers and I ask each of you do the same.I have been doing some research on some different alternative treatments. My husband and I have been reaching out to some of the Doctors and Clinics that do the Immunotherapy. This Therapy has been known to have positive results with all types of Cancer. The only thing is that my Insurance does NOT cover the cost.
