Ellie’s African adventure-Kenya 2019

Ellie-May needs your help to raise £2,200 so she can go with her school to Kenya. Whilst she’s there she will be helping with building and renovations. Overcrowding is an issue in the projects, improved facilities are needed to accommodate growing numbers and create more learning spaces for children. Ellie will also have the opportunity to help with teaching and Multi Sports. Interaction with the children is at the heart of the role. Activities will include: assisting teachers with lessons, reading stories, preparing meals and playing games and sports.
In an effort to raise funds Ellie has teamed up with two of her friends, Alfie and Emilia and will be holding a fun event at the Carlton Club (Drayton) on the 6th October from 7.30pm until 12.30. There will be entertainment provided by Rachel Hawnt followed by a Dj, food, auction and a raffle. Tickets are £10 each and we don’t have many so if you want one let me know soon please. We will also be holding a quiz/curry night at Bar 69 (Southsea) soon - details to follow. Ellie-May will be washing cars and walking dogs for a donation also. I will keep you updated with what she gets up to. So if you have something you think might be suitable for raffle or auction that you can donate we would be very grateful.
