Keisha's Krusaders

I am writing to each of you because as some of you may already know, our very dear friend Keisha, has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and will be undergoing surgery at the end of January. The surgery is extremely invasive (surgery is performed on the base of the brain and spine). This means Keisha will be out of commission for at least a month, forcing her to have 24 hour care in her home for simple tasks such as bathing, etc. While her insurance will cover this service, we need to keep in mind that she is a single parent and because of a prior injury, does not qualify for any short term disability. This means, she will go 6-8 weeks with no income. My hope is that we can band together to help Keisha and bestow a small monetary gift to her. Let's face it, she has always been there for us. Whether it was a shoulder to cry on, sound advice, a job reference, and for me, being my sister. She values each and every one of us and I would love to show her the same love and support.

The money will be presented to Keisha on January 18th, 2014 at 7:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. at Granite Street Cafe (378 Granite Street) in Quincy, MA. All are welcome to attend!!! In addition to the check, she will be presented with a memento with the names of everyone that donated to her cause so she can forever remember our support for her.
