Debbie Halliwell Lost Home In Flood

Donation protected

On Friday Aug 31, 2018 my sister lost her entire home and furnishings to a flash flood. On Saturday Sept 1st, it was declared an emergency disaster and her home was condemned. Deborah Halliwell of Mount Joy, Pa. Is a 67 yr old, hearing impaired lady who lives alone on a minimal disability income with her little Yorkie, Kiki, who is her beloved furbaby as well as her service dog. Debbie lost all of her belongings, furniture, appliances and 67 yrs worth of memories that can never be replaced! It has been a daunting task in the past few days to patch her life together and begin to gain back her independence. She is in desperate need of finding suitable housing to begin rebuilding her life and sadly it takes monetary help in order to do so. For the immediate moment she is sleeping in a room approximately the size of a closet in my home, while we sort through the massive calls & forms to attaining State & Federal relief. This has not been conducive to her mental, physical, spiritual health. Under ideal conditions, Debbie has always been very meticulous in keeping a clean orderly home. This catastrophic event has turned her entire world upside down. In light of the fact that we too, are limited in financial recourse, we are asking for contributions to provide her with necessary funds to help her rebuild her life.
