Help Laurie Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Please help Laurie Mckee in her fight against stage 4 cancer. With sad hearts, we're starting this campaign to help raise money for our dear friend Laurie Mckee, who is 39 and battling stage 4 melanoma. Laurie was recently diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma after a biopsy was done on a lump found on her arm. At first, her doctors were hopeful that it was caught early and no further treatment was required. Unfortunately, after months of tests, she's received the news that the melanoma is now stage 4 and has metastasized to her lungs. With this news, Laurie has moved in with her family to get the support and care she needs. She has a wonderful network of family and friends who are doing everything they can to help. Laurie has been forced to stop working to focus on her treatment. While we wish money was not an issue during times like this, Laurie and her family are facing day-to-day expenses that weigh heavily on their savings -- they're now balancing living expenses, as well as prescription costs and additional uncovered treatments which could go on for years. Laurie will be participating in a trial immunotherapy program starting the week of September 10th. Upon completion of 4 treatment cycles, she will start ongoing treatment every 2 weeks.
