help defray medical expenses

I have a large tumor on my Thyroid gland. The tumor is pressing into my windpipe and esophagus making it difficult to breath and to swallow. I need to have surgery (which will be very expensive) and I need to have it soon. I work part-time as a teacher (3 hours a day) and collect Social Security, so money is very tight.
