Hurricane Donations

When Katrina hit over a decade ago, I wanted to do something, but didn't. Now, with how bad it is in Texas I really want to do something besides just sending a quick $10 donation through a text app.
I want to rent a Uhaul truck here in Vegas, fill it supplies, and drive it to Texas. We will handout supplies to those in emergency shelters and also give clean up supplies for when the water recedes.
To rent a truck, gas, and hotels I estimate it to be $1,600 any money collected after that will be used to buy the following:

Hurricane relief supplies:

Diapers
Toilet paper
Feminine hygiene products
Soap
Shampoo
Deodorant
Tooth brushes/toothpaste
Beef jerky
Water
Canned soups

Push brooms
Garbage bags(extra strength)
Chain saws
Shovels

Once the Uhaul is rented, I hope to fill it with donations from as many people in Vegas that are willing to donate.
