Hiking For The Hospice

Donation protected
As many of you know, I lost my mother to cancer when she was far too young and still had so much of life left to enjoy. Anyone who has experienced the terminal diagnosis of a loved one knows how excruciating it is, as you face into a process that you don’t even have language for. For my mother and my family, the Irish Hospice Foundation gave us the language. They had the words, they mitigated fear and - while nothing could ever remove the sadness - they allowed my mother to die with the same dignity with which she had lived her life. In the worst moments of our family’s life, the Hospice staff provided care, reassurance and dignity. Everyone deserves the chance to pass in such peace. This is why, as a now grown woman who has never forgotten the care that we received - I am hiking the Camino de Santiago in memory of my mother and for all those future families who will find themselves in our position. Please help me by pledging whatever support you can, so that the care that the hospice provides will continue to be available to all those who have need of it.
