The passing of Kolin James McCloskey of Richibucto Road, NB, husband of Valerie
Olmstead occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Regional Hospital. Born on November 21, 1968 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son
of Willard and Noreen (Briggs) McCloskey. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima
Roman Catholic Church. Kolin was employed with Pepsi for 28 years and the last
14 as manager. He enjoyed golf and hockey; was a huge Philadelphia Flyers fan,
but most of all loved spending time with his kids.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kolin is survived by his children, Zachary, Andrew, Justin and Jacqueline; siblings, Rick McCloskey (Hughina), Glen McCloskey (Rose) and Kim McCloskey-Lint (Mike); father and mother in law, David and Huguette Olmstead of Saint John, NB; brother in law, Mark Olmstead (Shari); several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant.
