A Field Trip To The Fabulous Fox

I’m Shane Feltes, a special education teacher at Carrollton, Illinois High School. I recently changed school districts but would like to carry on the annual tradition of the past 14 years. Each year I’ve taken students to the Fox Theatre so they can experience a live performance in a fantastic venue. I discussed this with my coworkers and this year 3 classes are going! YEAH!!! Due to our days off around holidays as well as the 25 students going my choice of shows was greatly limited. Much discussion was had with my new boss and we decided the darkness of A Christmas Carol wouldn’t be the best choice for a first time Fox experience. So, Aladdin here we come! I’ve discussed the trip with all students involved. Excited is an understatement.... we are a rural district with limited funds. The district has been gracious enough to pay for the transportation costs. Disney productions are expensive. Very expensive, actually. This is my biggest group I’ve ever taken on top of an expensive production which leads me to once again ask for your help in sending these kiddos off on an amazing experience. We will fundraise as well if needed, however we can hit up a small community only so much before the well runs dry and we’re getting close to needing rain. We will eat at CiCis pizza before the show.
