Ángela’s Trip To China

Hello there! My name is Ángela Veras and I am an 12th grade student in Bronx, NY at the Marble Hill School for International Studies. I have been studying Chinese for two years and I have been eager to learn about the Chinese culture by participating in the China exchange program of my school. Luckily, I was accepted into the program. Considering that this is one of the most sought after trips that our school offers I am truly honored and very excited to represent my school in China. The trip is also very significant to me because I know that not many students have the privilege of traveling abroad and I will thus take advantage of the opportunity that I’ve been given as much as I can. Our group will travel to China during April Spring Recess of 2019. We will spend two weeks in China and during this time we will stay in the Nanjing Foreign Language Academy (our sister exchange boarding school) in Nanjing. In addition, we will visit three major cities in China, including Beijing. We “will enjoy a rich cultural program, including meeting and attending classes with Chinese high school students, taking cultural tours, visiting museums, and more”.  I have created this GoFundMe page because I need help fundraising $2000 to pay for the cost of the program, including airfare, insurance, visa, etc.. I must pay this money before the trip and the earlier I can reach my goal the better.
