Medical Fund For Baby Jaxon

I’m Anne and I’m writing on behalf of my oldest, dearest friend, Jessica, who I met in the bus line in 7th grade. Jessica just had her first baby and his name is Jaxon. In his short time on earth so far Jaxon has suffered more than most people do in a lifetime. He has an omphalocele, which means he was born with his small intestines and liver in a sac outside of his body. He’s spent all 30 of his days in NICU with pulmonary hypoplasia and pulmonary hypertension. He's had IVs and picc lines go bad, broviac surgically placed, left lung collapsed, was on an oscillator for 21 days and is still on a ventilator. As if that weren’t enough, he hasn’t even been able to be comforted by his mother’s embrace once in his precious little life. He is such a little spitfire that when touched he gets angry and his ventilator can’t work properly, causing a drop in his blood oxygen levels. Jess and her family have had to sit helplessly and watch all of this without even being able to hold him or let him know how loved he is. As a mother, I can’t even fathom the horror and emotional torture they are going through. I’m asking anyone who is able to help Jess and Jaxon by donating towards his medical care. Jess will not be able to work for at least a year, if not longer, as Jaxon will require all her time and attention. He will also likely need special adaptive equipment. For example, when he does go home he will need a special car seat that will cost $2k. In addition, OT/PT will probably be needed. As we all know, bills and responsibilities don’t go away even when we’re in the midst of the worst suffering and pain imaginable, so please keep my friend and her precious angel in your thoughts and prayers.
