Special Needs Program in dire need

The organization that I am attempting to raise money for is called Potential Unlimited (www.potentialunlimited.org). They provide an artistic / musical learning experience for children and adults with developmental disabilities. My brother, Danny, was diagnosed with Fragile X syndrome at a very young age. Among the things that are most affected by Fragile X are social skills. They are almost non-existent. He is now 26 years old and lives with my parents.It has been an absolute struggle to get him involved in anything. About 2 years ago, a woman named Barbara came along and changed his world. She takes almost nothing for this and completely changes the lives of all that she comes into contact with. Potential Unlimited finally got him involved and he was proud of something. Observing how much this organization has done for all of these wonderful people touches my heart. However, to make a long story short, they lost a major percentage of their funding due to cutbacks. They had a fundraiser in Saugerties, NY in October. Unfortunately, it came up way short. I am doing my part to help all of the people that will be affected by the shutdown of such a great organization. The goal of $5,000 does seem extremely high, I know. Please, give whatever you can - $1, $5, anything. We need organizations like this and people like Barbara. Thank you so very much
