Tammy Freeman Support Fund

Hello, this is my mom Tammy Freeman, a strong, healthy, beautiful 50 year old woman and a devoted loving mother of 3 and a grandmother to 4. She has a tremendous passion for helping the community. After being a real estate agent for 14 years helping families as they lost their homes in the tough market, she decided to go back to school to further her education while at the same time volunteering for the Veterans Administration hospital for 2 years in hopes of getting a job working with veterans.

In June of 2013 she got the job working in the compensation and pension department helping get Veterans off the streets. Things were going good, until recently she was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer, a rare and very aggressive cancer. After facing recent family tragedies and an unhealthy marriage, this couldn't have come at a worse time.

Tammy has had to endure a ridiculous amount of pain and heartache in her life. She is the kind of person who is ALWAYS there for others. Perhaps giving way too much of herself, she now has to learn how to receive.

While blessed with a full time job, it is an administrative job and she was barely surviving paycheck to paycheck before this happened. Now, she will be faced with over $8,000 in medical deductibles alone, travel costs, plus all extra medical costs which are not covered by insurance. We estimate this to be $20,000.

The good news is she is otherwise VERY HEALTHY and her prognosis is EXCELLENT. She is currently receiving treatment from the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Arizona. She just started her chemotherapy which requires her to fly from Oregon to Arizona every 2 weeks. It costs around $300 to $400 for her to take a support person with her every time. No one should have to go through this alone.

So I am asking for your help ensuring she has someone with her every time she flies down there, and to help with the already enormous amount of medical bills that are piling up.
