Maniyah Quintana

On Jan 3, 2014 a freshly turned 3 year old named Maniyah Quintana was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, commonly known as DIPG (http://www.thecurestartsnow.org/about/brain-cancer/dipg/). This inoperable disease is typically discovered at the beginning of childhood and has a projected life expectancy of approximately 18 months. Thus far, Maniyah's physicians at her Denver hospital have projected 12 months. She underwent surgery on her date of discovery to immediately begin fighting back at this disease. This beautiful, vibrant, magnetic little angel is my cousin's daughter. Having a freshly turned 4 year old myself, this kind of news is both devastating and sobering. After gathering myself and discussing the situation with my wife, we asked ourselves what we could do to make this wonderful little girls time on earth the best ever and help mitigate the future expenses to be expected while fighting this disease! Children have the highest level of appreciation for life even when we as adults can sometimes take days, weeks, and years for granted. The funds raised on behalf of Maniyah Quintana will go directly towards weaving the dreams of a terminally ill child and offer financial support to the family.
