Ambulance To Save Dying Animals

In the last 6 months, there’s been a 600% rise in kangaroo deaths on the Sunshine Coast. Every day, we are being called out to animals that have been hit by cars. Some are killed outright. Others are not so fortunate and struggle on smashed and splintered legs, trying to hop away. Every day, we at Wildlife Rescue Sunshine Coast face this. Every day we try and ease the suffering. We are a small group of rescue volunteers who use our own cars to rescue these poor animals.We are trauma responders and are permitted to carry sedation and euthanasia drugs. We desperately need a bigger vehicle that can be fitted out as an ambulance. Big male kangaroos can weigh up to 80kg and more; lifting a sedated animal into a car is not ideal. We want to be able to provide space, comfort and on-board fluids and medication. Please help us fund a special wildlife Ambulance so that we can help relieve the horrific suffering these animals are going through. We operate 24/7 across 70+ suburbs. We are the only service operating after dark. Any help you can give will be really appreciated. Thank you.
