Replace Origami Army’s Stolen Guitar

Donation protected
My name is Al, and for those of you who don’t know me, I tour and perform music under the name Origami Army. I’ve been a professional musician in some capacity for many years, but full time since 2013. In that time I’ve been fortunate enough to play over 700 shows in Canada, Australia, the United States and the Caribbean.
On June 11th, after performing a concert in Vernon, BC, my guitar was stolen. As you can see by the picture, my guitar was very well played and was by far my most cherished physical possession. It broke my heart to see it go missing, since then I’ve had people online share my post about it over 1300 times to tens of thousands of people but it still hasn’t come back. I’ve been fortunate to be able to borrow a very nice guitar from a friend to continue working, but it has to go home sooner or later.
As you probably are well aware, musicians don’t generally make a lot of money. I had a 5 year plan to work towards retiring my old guitar and getting a new one made, but frankly it’s just not within my means to go out buy one right now. Since music is my only source of income, this creates an obvious problem. I’m not very comfortable asking for help with a big purchase like this, but after much encouragement from some friends I’m going to put it out there; I need help. My guitar was a specialized instrument, and I’ll spare the details of how because it’s boring and involves techno-babble that only nerdy guitarists enjoy, but replacing it isn’t easy. I have been fortunate enough to make the acquaintance and friendship of custom guitar luthier whose instruments are world renowned for their quality and tone. He is going to build the specialized type of guitar I need to keep working, and he’s offering to do it at a reduced price because he knew my guitar was stolen. So I’m asking for your help to get the money to get a new guitar so I can get back to work with my own instrument. Please consider helping me and know that I appreciate it more than I can ever express properly. Thanks so much for reading this and for your support!
