The Road to Adoption in Tijuana
Donation protected
As many of you know, the Iranis have had deep connections in Mexico for many years. They have been connected with an orphanage, Niños de la Promesa, loving, caring, and mentoring the children there. For a number of years, they have been looking into fostering as a pathway to adopting two of these children in particular.
Now, that opportunity has come to welcome Sammy (13) and Adrian aka Spike (14), into their family. Naomi and Romin will be fostering (and hopefully, eventually adopting) two teenagers! What a huge life transition!
As a part of making that happen, Naomi, Romin, and Mateo will be moving to Tijuana and they need our help. They have found a place in Playas (by the beach) and are transiting this week! They just found out 3 weeks ago it was a possibility. They will need to get beds, dressers, desks, appliances (as they are not provided in rentals in Mexico), curtains/rods, clothes, and other things to love and take care of two teenagers. There are also resources that are needed for moving costs (getting taxed at the border for their own stuff) and a residency permit ($222 a person!!), guaranteed therapy and the kids schooling as its not free in Mexico.
They have collected some things in San Diego and will move down as much of their stuff as they can, but it will be easier to get many of the items they need in Tijuana. Please consider supporting these dear friends as they take this huge leap and trust God with all of the details that are emerging daily.
