Get Barb To MD Anderson

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Luckman and as many of you know I’m Barb’s niece. On 6/18/18 Barb had the removal of an enlarged lymph node from her neck. Unfortunately, it was not the outcome we all expected. After a bone marrow biopsy and a pet scan Barb was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Follicular lymphoma. It was determined, that since the cancer is asymptomatic at this time that a “wait and see approach” would be better than any treatment options. Barb and her family have decided to seek a second opinion in order to achieve the best possible outcome, and explore possible therapies. She will be taking a journey to MD Anderson’s Lymphoma/Myeloma Center. She is preparing for an up to a seven day stay, more testing, and hopefully not another bone marrow biopsy. She and Megan will arrive in Texas on 9/4 for an appointment with Dr. Raphael Steiner on Sept 5th. Barb would like to thank everyone who has reached out to her with thoughts and prayers.
