Jesse’s Heart Fund

Jesse was born on May 11, 2017 with a heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot with Pulmonary Artresia and MAPCAS. He spent the first two months of his life in the hospital waiting to find out if he needed immediate surgery or to wait and let his arteries grow. We were able to leave the hospital to let him grow so he would be strong enough for surgery down the road. Four months later on September 24th, Jesse had his first heart cath to see how well his arteries had grown and while coming out of anesthesia he coded and had his first emergency surgery two days later. He spent 3 months in recovery with a couple of setbacks during his recovery. During that time he had another surgery to put a G-tube in because during his first surgery his left vocal chord was paralyzed so he couldn’t take any food by mouth. Since then Jesse has had two more heart caths to see how well he has grown. The latest heart cath has shown very little growth and Jesse’s breathing and oxygen saturation levels have declined. We went to the hospital again because he was having trouble breathing and it was revealed that there was some narrowing in his airway. So they put him on some medicine to help with blood flow until his next surgery which will be September 12th.Any donations that are given are put into an account set up for Jesse. This money goes towards outside expenses that include lodging, food, gas, parking garage fees, as well as any medical bills not covered through insurance. We have spent close to six months living in and out of the hospital and every bit helps. We are not sure how long his recovery will be during his upcoming surgery but we pray it’s a short and quick recovery. He will still require more surgery after this one until he can be fully repaired.Thank you in advance to everyone who donates, prays, and sends special thoughts to our son Jesse.
