Anderson Family - 6035 Broadway

On January 6th, 2018, there was a major fire at 6035 Broadway, a cooperative building in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NY. Our neighbors Ana Maria, Antonio, Shyla and Graysen Anderson lost most of their material belongings and their apartment is uninhabitable. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. Unfortunately, the Anderson family didn't have home insurance, thus they're left on their own to absorb the huge expense this incident will represent. We're here to remind them that they aren't alone.
The objective of this GoFundMe campaign is to help the Anderson family get back on their feet after such a devastating incident. We want to give Shyla and Greysen a sense of normalcy, and this starts with getting back to routines, having appropriate seasonal clothing handy, and having healthy meals that will support their growth. Shyla is a student at PS81 in the Bronx and Graysen, who is autistic, receives care and education elsewhere. In the fire, Graysen lost his iPad, which he uses daily to receive instruction suited to his special needs. The funds collected here will be given to Ana Maria and Antonio to ensure that the kids are minimally affected by this event. With Shyla and Graysen cared for, Ana Maria and Antonio can focus on rebuilding their home.
