6 Dogs Escape Euthanasia from Los Angeles

Hello! We are a team of volunteers who love dogs and care about our city shelter dogs. Recently, South Los Angeles City Shelter alerted 50 dogs at once, and 37 of those dogs had less than 72 hours to leave the shelter or be killed for space.

While we could not save all 37 (though we would still like to save more if we can!), we are set on saving 6: Sugar, Koko, Spidey, Oyuki, Nina, and Nala.

We found great small family-owned and run rescues in Washington and Idaho to take all six dogs if we can find the funds to pay for their boarding and their transport from Southern California to the Pacific Northwest.

Boarding will be $1000.

Health certificates will range from $200-400 - we don't have exact vet numbers yet.

Interstate transport will be $2400.

Local transport will be $300 (we have a lot of volunteer drivers, but we still need to pay for gas and also hire drivers to take them to the vet).

Right now, our total is $4100 for this trip. However, we would love to pull a few more if we can, so anything we raise above and beyond our initial goal of $3500 (we are trying to be conservative to raise the bare minimum to make this happen) we will contribute to saving more dogs and transporting them out.

The more we raise even past our goal the more dogs we can save before our transport goes up Thursday October 2nd so please DONATE NOW as much as you can to help more dogs get their freedom walks like this...

We've already spent $800 on boarding, but we literally DO NOT have the money for this transport right around the corner, so it is URGENT that we raise funds IMMEDIATELY to pay for this upcoming transport.

We are hosting fundraisers, clothing sales, and also collecting any and all pledges made for the dogs.
