Mary's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Christie Malone-Riggins. I am a mother of 3 and a wife of 20 years. I currently live in Virginia and my mom resides in South Carolina. I come to you today because recently my mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer. She underwent her first round of treatments as of August 1st. The treatments have resulted in her being hospitalized. Due to this type of cancer being so aggressive, my mother is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy therapy treatment everyday. As of now she will have to continue some type of treatment for the next year. In order for us to give her the type of support she needs. We must commute back and forth from Virginia to South Carolina at least every two weeks. It is also a financial strain on the family to cover the cost of her medical care which is not fully covered by insurance. Any additional help that has been presented to us from agencies such as American Cancer Society has been helpful but limited due to the fact that they are out of funds. Anyone who know my mother Mary, knows that she always put others before herself. She has a heart of God and is always a blessing to those who are in need. At this time, she is the one that is in need. I come to you today asking if you can please donate whatever God lays on your heart to give to help during this difficult time in our family.
