Sunni Wigginton’s Facial Surgery

Friends and family, I’m SO excited to share some amazing news with you! After visiting LA this past week, I received news that I’m a perfect candidate for a new procedure (selective neurolosis). It will help with the facial muscle spasms and facial paralysis I’ve dealt with over the past 5 years. A little over a month ago I was told about a doctor who is performing a new surgery for synkinesis patients. Dr. Azizzadeh will be “re-wiring” my facial nerve for a permanent relief of pain. I have had significant pain from the facial spasms, and have tried rehab therapy and Botox with little relief. For those who don’t know, I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma (brain tumor) at 14, and had brain surgery in New York City at 16. I’m thankful for a successful surgery, but I’ve experienced much adversity since… Dealing with significant hearing loss, the muscle spasms aka synkinesis, and facial paralysis. BUT this surgery is not covered by insurance and costs over $40,000. I am asking for prayers and any donations as every penny helps. I can’t say “thank you” enough for everyone’s support over the last 7 years. I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to work!
