I am not one to tell everyone my personal struggles and hurts . But Joseph and I need your help on this adventure we are about to embark on. Let me fill you in on our story .
During adolescence I never had a cycle. So I went to the gynecologist at the age of 18, this worried the doctor and many test were taken. I was shortly thereafter put on birth control but didn't know what the real cause was.
Joseph and I got married in 2004 and the thought of having a family of our own was always a dream of ours. But first I needed to get through with school and establish my career. So after 3 years of marriage I finally decided to see if it was possible to concieve a child with this man I love so much. After more tests with a new gynecologist it was determined that I had something called Premature Ovarian Failure that only 1 % of women have. This means that for some unknown reason I depleted all my eggs. I was told I would never have a child on my own and I would have to have an egg donor and do IVF. At 24 years of age this was devastating to me. I felt robbed of something every women gets to experience.
So the years passed and passed and passed. This procedure is so expensive and HOW IN THE WORLD COULD WE AFFORD IT. So we never pursued it.
That brings me to today. After many prayers to our Lord we have decided to do go through with it. Fortunately our insurance covers our portion but we will have to pay for the donors eggs and medicine. The cost for this is $15,857.25! We cannot afford this procedure on our own and that is why we are asking our family and friends for help. We ask that you pray about it and anything that you feel lead to give we would appreciate. "For with God nothing is impossible" Luke 1:37
