Funtastic Kids Summer Camp!

My name is Alanna and I’m a doctor of occupational therapy! It is a dream of mine to start a summer camp for children on Long Island, NY. This is the best summer camp-it is also for children with hemiparesis. Hemiparesis means one side of your body is weaker than the other. This can happen from having a stroke, birth injury, or a traumatic brain injury. Specialized treatments will be at this camp, such as bi-manual training and constraint induced movement therapy (CIMT). The goal for this camp is for children with special needs to have fun with friends while improving their strength and skills! Children with Autism and sensory challenges can also attend! They will have the chance to have fun, play, and make friends! Another goal is for this camp is to be free from limitations! There will be no limits on how many years a child can attend, and a child will not be turned away due to space limitations or level of function.

At Funtastic Summer Camp- every child has a spot and every child deserves to have fun with friends!
