Sometimes, for reasons none of us will ever understand, life hands us nothing but lemons. Sometimes those lemons can be turned, as they say, into lemonade, making life sweet in spite of the circumstances. Sometimes a good dose of positivity mixed with hard work and determination is enough to turn around a sour situation.
And sometimes we need help to keep going.
The Backstory
Curt Steere is, among other things, the hardest working man I have ever known. He is a loving father and stepfather, a generous and caring friend, a doting uncle, and I’m lucky enough to call him my brother. Curt’s heart has always been bigger than most; he gives the shirt off his back to ANYONE in need, and is known for putting EVERYONE else’s needs ahead of his own. His heart is ALWAYS in the right place, but now it finds itself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
In a Tough Spot
Curt is currently in the hospital and has been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. He has also been told he needs open heart surgery to save his life. There may not be a “good” time to get this news, but recently losing his health insurance makes the timing of all of this particularly poor. With no insurance to cover the medical costs, he is currently waiting to find out if a doctor will even take him on as a patient for the surgery they tell him he needs. On top of the obvious mountain of looming medical expenses that go along with having a surgery of this magnitude, his loss of income from being hospitalized (over a week now already) for the length of time needed to recover from this will be crippling, at best.
Life has indeed thrown some rotten lemons Curt’s way recently, and he has managed to maintain his remarkably positive outlook on life. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough to overcome the financial hardship he is facing with this life saving surgery. Curt is a generous man but would never ask for help himself, so I am doing it for him.

I am asking anyone who can to PLEASE donate to this cause and help Curt get through his surgery and recovery period. Even if it’s only $5.00, every dollar adds up and makes a difference in paying the ever-growing pile of bills. And PLEASE SHARE/REPOST THIS CAMPAIGN!
