Support Tony's Healing

Anthony Ray Michael (Tony) is a wonderful man of God. He is a husband, father and grandfather. Tony is a friend to many. He is a child of God who has dedicated many years of his life to ministry and continually strives to live within God’s will. Tony has blessed many with his love and compassion as he has shared the gospel and led many to God’s salvation. Supported by his wife, Judy, he hopes to continue his ministry, in whatever form God plans for it to be, for many years to come.  On August 11, 2018, as Tony was traveling home on his motorcycle from a church event, tragedy struck. Tony was involved in a motorcycle accident. God reached down and took Tony into his protective hands and sparred his life, as God still has plans for Tony. His body, however, was broken. Tony suffered a severe spinal cord injury with a shattered L1 vertbrae as well as 17 rib fractures. He and Judy now face many weeks and months of recovery and rehabilitation as they learn to live with new physical limitations.   Some hurdles we already know and comprehend. We know there will be financial needs to meet. Medical expenses are already accumulating. Tony has medical insurance but there are always deductibles, co-pays and noncovered expenses, the air ambulance transport from the accident scene to Vanderbilt, to name one. There will be expenses related to preparing for Tony's return home. Their home will need modifications to make it wheelchair accessible. New issues related to transportation needs will have to be addressed. Day-to-day living expenses for Judy will need to be met as she participates in Tony’s rehabilitation in Atlanta and learns her new role as the wife of a paraplegic. These are just a few of the challenges we are already aware of. Many others will be revealed as Judy and Tony traverse this new path in their lives.  Tony has stepped up, supported and helped many in their times of need. Now it is our turn to step up for Tony. We are the friends and family of Tony Michael, and we are establishing this Go-Fund-Me account to help support Judy and Tony through the challenges and needs they will encounter in Tony’s recovery. Our goal is to support them and meet their needs as Tony grows and strengthens through rehabilitation in preparation for God’s plan for the next stage of his life and ministry.  Thank you for your donation.
