The Fight For Her Life

Hi my names Jennifer Hernandez, last month my mother,sister, and I went to Juarez due to my moms immigration status. She was in the process of getting her green card and they required her to get vaccinations as part of that process. A week later we traveled to Mexico City because we have family there. I then had to fly back and a couple days after I left my mother started complaining about pains she had in her body. They then took her to a clinic and they said her blood pressure was at about 184. If it continued to be that high(which it did) they had to take her to the emergency room. The doctor told my family that there was a risk of half her body getting paralyzed due to stress. Fast forwarding to a couple days later my mom then started losing feeling in her face and was admitted into the hospital. She lost feeling in her arms, legs, face, etc.. After many visits from different doctors we then came to find out that it was due to the shots she had gotten in Juarez, Mexico. If not treated ASAP the virus can spread to her brain and she can be declared brain dead. We need to pay for hospital bills, therapy, medicines, etc and it’s all very pricey. A few of my aunts and uncles are pitching in but we can’t seem to raise enough money. I work 2 jobs and am planning to start college soon and am finding it very difficult to balance everything.Being away from my mom and not being able to do anything kills me.
